Ah.. a familiar conflict: I like poetry bks w/ the words sparsely on the page, words w/ space around them, breathing rm.. & then I think its a waste of paper. Just like when I tape-record something: I try to use the whole tape & I hate it when people just have 15 minutes on one side only of a 90 minute tape.. - that sort of thing.. &, YET, Alans Book 5 is around 4 X 7.. almost, but not quite, a miniature. There are so few words in the poem that it cdve been printed on one 8&1/2 X 11 page but then it wdnt have the same weight (or lightness). It seems like it has more substance this way - like a particularly healthy fruit. 2 stanzas per page, each w/ 4 lines, each line having 1 to 3 words, each stanza having usually at least 2 one word lines (ok, theres at least one exception to the preceding description). Each stanza strikes me as a description of something thats not quite there - like a description of its approximate doppleganger in an alternate dimension:Dream meseedlesscreatingvaporsVoluptuaryrockshapesfissures Book 5 by Alan Davies
